Been awhile since I last set up my work DV edit station at the office: Mac G5 / FCP / AE / DSR-11 DVCAM / Sony 14L2 Monitor. I’m setting up a second DV edit at home and wanted to see if I can skip purchasing another DSR-11 Deck and see if there is a way to view FCP/AE on the monitor (Sony SOPVM14L1)? Is there a card that would do this? Like the Blackmagic Decklink or something similar? Or do I NEED a deck to view?

    Set up: Mac G5 / Intel / 2.66 / FCP / AE7 / Radion 1900 / 3GigRam

    Thanks

You can use one of those FW to analogue converters like the one from Canopus which are pretty resonably priced ($100 – $200 range I believe.)
