  Can you do this in FCP studio2?

  1) When using the 3-way color corrector, can you use an eyedropper to sample the RGB values for selected pixels in
  the shot? Example: to sample an area that should be black to see if has a green tinge? I know you can do an auto balance with the eyedropper…I want to see actual RGB values.

  2) I know you can assign different colors to selected clips in a bin to sort them, but can you get these colors to show up in the timeline? Example: I have a three camera shoot and I want to assign a different color to each camera so I can easily see which cameras are used where in the timeline.

  I use these features all the time in Avid and find them very usefull.

  Sure, just use the color picker in a title tool or color matte etc… When it picks a color you can see the values.

  When you assign a label color to a clip, it shows up in the timeline too.

  Color also allows you to view pixel color values…
