I’m still struggling with this pan centering business. I know there’s ways around it, but I never had this problem till I upgraded. It’s got to be a setting, but I’ve tried everything. I thought the stereo pair idea would be the fix, but no go. Anybody else with ideas? Driving me nuts!

Modify > Audio > Pan Center

    What’s the issue?

As I said in your last thread about this exact same issue, Nothing has changed in the Audio Pan controls in this latest upgrade.

By the way, since you started a new thread, it’s quite difficult for anyone who wants to help you to follow along with what’s already been suggested. This is why we discourage folks from starting a new thread about the exact same subject instead of just continuing on the old thread.

Then it’s has to be a setting somewhere. Any suggestions about what that could be. All I know is, I never had this issue before. I just can’t figure it out and it’s making me nuts. Thanks for the help, though.

Just make sure you don’t have Stereo Pair applied to the clips you’re trying to center. You can’t center a Stereo pair.

I had this happen to me yesterday. (Not sure if it’s your issue) I copied some footage into a new timeline and the audio was locked left or right. I couldn’t center it either.

What happened was, I had the setting of the sequence wrong. (I can’t remember which setting) but when I reset them correctly for the footage codec, everything panned fine.

So… try creating a new timeline, maybe you have one setting off like I did.
