  Upgrade path from FCP 3.0 to 6.0

  I recently bought a new mac and need to upgrade my FCP from 3.0 to 6.0. I would rather not have to pay for the full version if there is an upgrade path. My old mac was G4 500 Mhz/9.? OS. Does apple provide a path for people who hang too long to their software??? FCP 3.0 will not load on new system. So I will need some tips to get the upgrade on my new system if possible. Thanks

  Search the Apple site for “Final Cut Pro Upgrade”. There is an upgrade version for $699 that will accept the code from FCP 3. That saves you $600 over the full purchase price.
