I am having the Compressor issue, “unable to connect to background process”. I have tried everything and i am going to try a full install of Studio. Is there a certain way to reinstall or uninstall FCP Studio. How about any ideas about Compressor. Its funny my laptop does not have this issue with Compressor. Ideas, Solutions, Fixes ?

Great link. Following the directions should clear up any issue-I’ve followed the same procedures with great success.

A side note, you shouldn’t need to reinstall all of FC Studio, just Compressor-it’s on the DVDSP disk.

When i use this in the Terminal:

    ls -l /Library/Application Support/Apple Qmaster/

No Qmaster files are found indicating the some of it was not installed. I checked the startup items and a Qmaster file is there. What is going on ?
