• Apple Final Cut Pro Legacy

  Final cut taking FOREVER to OPEN!!! please Help??

  Hello Guys,

  I do mostly audio productions, this time around I need to do a small video for a client, I got the Fianl Cut Studio 2 Package. Just installed it and it took forever!!

  OK the problem is that, I have tons of Audio Unit plug ins, or audio filters that I use in Logic Pro 7 all the time, Specifically the WAVES GOLD Bundle,

  No joke guys, I launched Final cut pro about 15 mins ago, and it has not yet loaded all the audio filters, It is still on the splash screen, or start up screen, loading audio filters, I can’t wait 20 mins everytime I need to open Finl cut, do you guys know what I should do to stop this from happening?

  Don’t install the plug-ins you don’t need

  FCP loads all those AU plugins … if you’re not going to use them, then you need some kind of plugin manager

  quickest workaround is simply to create an alias to your audio plugs folder on the desktop, and create a second folder called disabled audio plugs. then just drag and drop between th e2 foilders to enable/disable

  That did the trick. Got another one for ya?

  Final Cut Pro 6 and Motion, and DVD Studio Pro, continue to ask me for the serial number every time I launch them. I type it in a off I go, but the serial number is pretty long why do I have to keep entering it in? Did I do do something wrong when installing the bundle? and yes this a legit copy of the software, No cracks or Torrents, or anything. I chose not to install the audio application, since I use Logic for all that stuff, sound track pro I think, I did not install that portion.

  1) go to this folder: /Library/Application Support/ProApps/

  2) Find any file that has “_SystemID” in the name i.e. Final_Cut_Pro_SystemID, DVD_Studio_Pro_System_ID etc… these are left over from your previous versions.
  DELETE THESE FILES – yes all of them. Empty the trash too

  3) Restart Final Cut Pro and enter your Serial Number
