  dropped frames capturing

  Been using my final cut pro 4.5 for a few years and all of a sudden when I am trying to capture, it registers dropped frames and halts the capture.

  I tried it with footage I have captured before and it does it again so I know it is not the tape.

  Stumped.

  Help!

  I’m getting a “dropped frames” message when I attempt to capture
  super-slow-mo source from DVD.

  Is there a setting I can change to allow for high frame rate to capture without dropping frames?
