I’m new to FCP, I’m using ver 5.1 on a Mac Pro with 3Gb RAM. I only have a single 160Gb HD.

I’ve recorded raw video on a JVC HDD video camera and converted the raw footage to a m2v file for use in FCP. I’ve added the footage with a ChromaKey filter placing the video image in front of a still .jpg.

The problem: I’m noticing that as I add a series of jpg’s changing the background periodically, the video gets ahead of the audio, typically by about 4 frames. I have to go in, unlink the m2v file, slide the video back (about 4 frames) and they are sync’d again, but it’s only temporary.

Can anyone explain to me what is going on and more importantly can it be stopped?

    Thanks
