  P2 DVC PRO HD 720P needs rendering in sequence?

  I’ve run into this issue before. I have a full rez quicktime of my film that I cut and I’m trying to put that back into a sequence but for some reason it needs to be rendered. I know the sequence settings are correct, they match the file exactly. I’ve only seen this happen with p2 media, does anyone know about this?

  Have you seen the posts lately about Quicktime exports from DVCProHD being exported with the full HD raster size and not the non-square native DVCProHD sizes? Maybe this is the same problem? It’s thought to be caused by certain clips in the sequence which, for unknown reasons, cause the export to go out as the full square-pixel size. Check to see whether your Quicktime file is 1280×720 or 960×720.
