  DVI to HDMI external monitor

  I have a DVI out of a G5 and HDMI into a tv, which I’m trying to set up as an external monitor, but I’m not seeing those options under view, video playback, it just says none. What are the other settings I need to adjust?

  That’s not an external monitor. Just an extra computer monitor.

  You need the Matrox MXO to have a real video output from the DVI port.

  You can use one of the Digital Cinema Desktop Preview settings in View, but thats not really going to provide you with an accurate NTSC or PAL video display.
