Hi and thanks for being gentle. I’m helping on a project and we’re importing a jpeg from photoshop into FCP. When we apply Fade in/out to that jpeg it appears to repo the shot down a couple of pixels but only for the parts of the clip where the fx is applied. This makes the picture appear to jump right after the fade in and right before the fade out. Is there a image size/pixel shape that I should be checking the jpeg for so that it doesn’t do this in FCP? Any thoughts are greatly appreciated. Kind Regards, Chris K.

How are you monitoring? And, are you rendering with “Full” checked in the drop down menu?

Even though it is a still, try altering the field order or indeed that of your clip.

As David mentioned regarding rendering your FX: the jumpy picture will go away after you render.
