  Perplexed on General Error

  Greetings All,

  I am cutting a feature, shot 1080 24p on an HVX200, capture preset 1080i60, sequence preset 1080p24, reverse telecined.

  My system: G5 quad 2.5, 6 gigs ram, 2 5x Burley enclosures, 10 Seagate 500 gig, caldigi, card, sata raid 0, 2×23″ Cinema displays.

  I have a clip which refuses to play. No matter where I click on the timeline, it gives me a still frame and after several tries it gives a window “general error”.

  I also have a clone of the project on a G4 laptop and a clone of the media on 3 Lacie Terrabyte firewire drives.

  The shot plays fine on the duplicate system. I have tried deleting the clip and media on the G5 several times, then cloning the shot from the firewire drive, with still the same results… doesn’t play and general error.

  But when I connect the firewire to the G5, the clip plays fine.

  I am not sure what to try next???
