  Audio monitoring not from the capture card

  Hello All,
  I keep finding that places that I freelance at have capture cards (often Black Magic cards) but are monitoring audio using consumer speakers. I find that I am monitoring my video through the card, but the audio through the computer’s internal output. In this case I am assuming that the best thing to do would be to duplicate the easy setup for the format that I am working with and then change the frame offset. Where should I change this and by what amount?
