  PAL conversion

  My clients are mostly in Europe. When I create an NTSC project (all footage is NTSC) and am ready to export and create a DVD, what is the best way to get them the best quality quicktime? Should I do a conversion in Final Cut and make a PAL quicktime, or simply make the iDVD setting to PAL disk?

  Depending on how your client will use it, you might not need to convert the file to PAL. Many modern DVD Players in Europe play back both PAL and NTSC. Make sure they know what they want.

  For PAL conversions, I use Nattress Standards Converter.

  ALL DVD players in Europe can play NTSC, but not all TVs will show that signal. Check with your client.

  If you want to convert, I second the recommendation for Nattress’ G Converter.
