I have reinstalled Panther and an aurora igniter driver on my ext drive as I upgraded my hd to Tiger and fcp 5 and aurora makes no upgrades. I need a copy of fcp3 or 4 since all my media and projects were cut in fcp 4.1.1. I still have the fcp upgrade disc I purchased but gave away my fcp 3 and can’t install the upgrade without a previous (fcp3) or full (fcp4) version. Is there anyone in the L.A. area who could lend/rent/inexpensively sell me a disc and reg #? Thanks in advance.

You don’t need a disc, you just need your FCP 3 serial number to enter during the install. For that matter, you only need ANY earlier version of FCP serial number. In fact, you should be able to contact Apple and get your registered serial number from them.

If in fact you didn’t ever register your software after 2 version continually nagged you about it, and then you threw away the disc AND the serial number from the original purchase, I’m afraid you’re probably out of luck.
