Font Suitcase fonts don’t appear in FCP
I copied some new Font Suitcase fonts (the Univers family) into my System/Library/Fonts folder for a video that I’m editing. These Font Suitcase fonts do not appear in FCP, but they do appear in Photoshop. I’ve tried relaunching apps and rebooting, but the fonts are still not coming up as an option in FCP. Help?!

FCP only recognizes True Type fonts. I’m betting that these missing fonts are not TT.

Put them into
Username\Library\Fonts and see if that works.Neil.

hey, and on this subject, i notice this especially in Motion (1) that i have a huge list of fonts, but a whole bunch of them (yes, that’s precisely the number!) aren’t different – they default to a sort of simple sans seriffed font.

hate to hijack..but couldn’t help myself…font..i believe it was called ” Handwriting “…all of a sudden disappeared…i did not add this font…it was part of native to FCP…i was using it in a project..then one day i open project and titles were in a different font…trashed prefs and all that..any help out there…?

FCP has NEVER installed fonts- that was an older mac OS system font.
