    Sure. Any of them.

Of course, different versions have different requirements when it comes to video cards and other system properties. So not all Final Cuts will run on all Power-PC Macs. But it won’t be the fact that you’re using a G4 or G5 that holds you back.

I am running 6.01 on my Dual 2Ghz G5, if that tells you anything.

Yeah…well. The box was here and just taunting me. So I wiped my second internal drive, installed a fresh OS on it, updated it to the fullest extent. Then loaded FCS2 on it, updated it to the fullest extent. I am still mid project so I have the main drive with 5.1.4. But I wanted to dig into Motion 3 and Color. Perhaps dabble with ProRes. Not that I can capture to it or anything.

Plus I need to know it to help out all these folks here.

My 17″ 1GHz laptop will not run FCP 6, Motion 2 or 3, or Color. It runs FCP 5.14, Soundtrack Pro 2, DVDSP 4. The applications that won’t run will not even launch. (FCS Studio runs great on my Quad, however.)

I’m running 6.0.1 on a Dual 1.8 GHz with 3 GB of RAM and an ATI Radeon 9600 XT graphics card. Everything runs fine, including Color.
