    Hello,

I’m editing a music video on FCP 5.0 and it was shot on the HVX with P2 cards 720p24. I’m ready to export but all the different export versions I’ve tried have looked pixellated and the image is “stretched” horizontally. I want to put it on a DVD and also a high res file for the colorist. What should my sequence and export settings be so I can get the highest quality DVD and the highest quality file?

I exported a QT Movie (not conversion) uncompressed once and I just got audio with a green flickering screen. Any help would be much appreciated.

For the best DVD encode go from your timeline to compressor. Make a new preset with

    MPEG-2
    Video Format Tab
    NTSC
    23.97
    16:9

    Quality Tab
    One pass CBR
    6.5 Mbps

Everything else can be left alone.

I will let someone else answet the format for color correction. Easier though is a self contained reference movie.
