  Audio Channel Chaos

  I’ve been trying to capture the same 20 second clip for 2 hours. The problem is, sometimes Final Cut, using and AJA IO LA box, keeps reverting to 16 audio channels apparently on input. I close the capture window, and it will drop back to 4, with two turned off. then, eventually, it will pop up the other 12 channels, with 3 and 4 still turned off. and when I capture the clip after testing, it reverts back to 16 channels, and the actual clip doesn’t go in right. Just trying to go from beta to a DV 48hz…. What is going on here?

  Try trashing your preferences for FCP.
