    Hi All,

I’m not able to find a definite answer to this, and I’m starting to think that I’m perhaps missing something obvious. When I export my clips to DV Quicktime (highest settings, etc) the resulting video is always noticeably pixelated. I would like to archive some of my video in the DV format to avoid unnecessary conversion in the future – perhaps the QT DV codec is not best suited for this?

    Thanks!

Export using current settings, this will export the video using the exact same settings as the timeline.

However for archiving I prefer to export back to tape.

For some crazy reason, QT doesn’t play back DV files at High Quality. It drives me crazy.

Check to see if High Quality video is selected in QT – Movie Properties – Video Track – Visual Settings window?

DV files normally look like crap in QT unless this is selected.
