I cannot figure this out! Every time I export a seq from FCS2.0 as native(720p24) the resulting QT is 1280×270(1.33) instead of 960×720(1.33). So when I make a new comp in AE I set it to DVCPRO HD 720 but the exported QT never fits.

[rumpot] “the resulting QT is 1280×270(1.33)”

Is that supposed to read “1280×720 (1.33)”? If so, change your pixel aspect ratio (1.33) to Square (1.0) and it should fit.

I personally find it MUCH easier to work in AE with the HDTV preset rather than the DVCProHD ones, since the DVCProHD is anamorphic. When you render your HDTV comp, you can set it to “Squeeze” the frame size to 960×720. Head over to the AE forums for more info on that-

BTW, as a heads up, DVCProHD footage has some issues in AE… see my post in the AE forum from today for more info.

Yes, that is what it reads. I am having a hard time understanding why FCS2 would export it as that. And if my settings are for that in AE, why all the fuss? I just thought if I export a native timeline seq, I could expect AE to do the same with the settings. Why would FCS2 export it as 1280×720(1.33), when its working in 960×720(1.33), one would think if its gonna that, it should @least make squarePX.
    More confused then ever…..

Saw yr other post, I’m still on AE7 and cannot import so I haven’t seen the color issues, yet. I just wish stuff would play nicely together, or @least do what it says it would do…
