    Hi all.

I’ve been reading various threads about FCP not liking uneven amounts of RAM – none of which seem to give a definative answer about this situation in the MBP.
I’m looking at purchasing a new MBP in the next month and, as I use After Effects alot, 3 Gigs of RAM (1x1gig & 1x2gig sticks) would be really useful.

I will also be purchsing FCS2 upgrade at the same time and was wondering if anyone has any experiences or advice they could lay on the table.

Will FCP 6 be happy with 3 gigs?
Will it run as faster if it had 2 gigs in it?

Thanks in advance for your help.

It will be happy with the 3 gigs… the posts below about ram only refer to Mac Pros, not the laptops.
