I am trying to convert some 30 second commercials to MPEG 2 with an MPEG 1 layer all in file. I have tried using Commpresor, Quicktime Conversion as well as Cleaner 6. Everytime option I try is giving me a seperate file for audio.

I am converting these for a tapeless delivery system for our cable operation that requires 1 file.

If anyone can please give me some direction I would appriciate it. Thanks, Randy

    Hi Randy,
You can mux these files with ffmpgx but you can do it directly in Compressor too. Open a MPG2 preset in the inspector and click the “Extras” tab. You will find a check box that writes: Multiplexed MPG-1/Layer 2 Audio. Just check it and you will get a full muxed MPG2 with the video and audio in a file as you want.
    Cheers,
    rafael
