  Project not saving

  I’m having a recurring problem where I will save a project, close down FCP (leaving my G5 2Ghz DP tower “on”), come back the following morning, open the project from the “file/open/recent” drop-down, and find that my project is an earlier version than the one I had closed.

  At that point, I’ve gone to my auto save vault, and re-opened the most recent version, but in the process I’ve lost a couple of hours work, as the auto-save-vault version may or may not be totally up to date.

  Any idea why this is happening?

  I have the most recent versions of FCP, & QT. I have 4 GB Ram, a 1 TB SATA storage set up with drives that are not filled up, am capturing with an Aurora Pipe Pro cap. card that’s been rock solid. I’m working in a SD environment – using a Panasonic SD93 DVCPRO50 deck.
