  any way to increase cpu usage on render

  im rendering some hdv video right now, and my cpu is 40 percent idle. since hdv is prossesor intensive, i would imagine my limited factor on render time would be my cpu. is there a way to increase the priority or something for compressor so that it will use more resources?
