Anyone use a Z1U with CineFrame 25 into a FCP 24P workflow?
I wonder if this is a possible way for me to use my camera instead of buying a new 24p model. I really love the Z1U but I need 24P. If I recall correctly, I believe the 25 and 24 modes resulted in a loss of vertical resolution.

I knew that my Z1U Cineframe 24 sucks but now I know I understand why. I just found this info that sounds like the Cineframe 25 mode may allow me to keep my Z1U.

It’s been done to death by lots of people. If you are going to NAB, look up Douglas Spotted Eagle. He’s an expert on this technique and even has published a book on HDV and the book includes a chapter on this subject.
