  4-500 gig hard drive that i can turn on/off?

  any advice on a 4-500 gig hard drive that i can turn on/off?
  my firewire 800 card for my macbook pro won’t let me read the lacies that are auto off/on but will read a drive that i turn on. Or i could get a new card? Not sure the best solution.

  Anything with an on and off switch should suit you.

  The lacie’s are auto? I always pressed the big blue glowing on/off switch on the front. Have they changed?

  sorry man i wasnt trying to joke around I just misread your post… and i’m still not understanding your problem… doesnt the blue light come on?
