Breakout Box for FCP?
Hello,
I’m looking for recommendations for add-on hardware for an FCP system that support 9pin deck control features plus composite, y/c, component, SDI in/out and XLR audio i/o.

Too bad Aurora still isn’t making the Pipe Studio, like I use.
It had all those things out Simultaneously with no delay and
no cable switching. And has XLR and AES out in/out too. It is a very nice
and smooth running board/system. If they had stayed in the game
to make an HD boardset, me and many others would have
most definitely bought it.Otherwise, what Walter said.

most definitely bought it.”They were designing one and I spoke to them about it at NAB 2004 I believe and then never heard about it again. They were a great company, just didn’t get the market share they deserved.

This is a capture card with an optional breakout box. If you’re looking for a stand-alone breakout box, then the AJA Io series is the way to go.

There’s an AJA IO for sale in cow classified right now for $1000.00. Just plug it into your firewire and you’re good to go.
