  pixel dropouts when rendering at DV resolution

  Anyone else notice pixel dropouts when rendering at DV resolution?
  This usually happens with a color correction or other filter.
  It looks like random black squares. If I re-render they appear
  in different places. This happens also when exporting out of Motion.
  Other resolutions don’t have this problem.
  I’m using Quicktime 7.1.3, Final Cut Pro 5.1.2,Compressor 2.3,
  OSX 10.4.8, Dual 2.5 ghz PowerPC G5

  I haven’t noticed.
  What filters exactly seem to be causing this problem?
  Have you tried changing your Sequence Settings/Video Processing tab to see if the problem changes?

  Since this also happens outside of Final Cut (Motion exports in DV),
  I suspect a flawed version of Quicktime or perhaps more ominously,
  a hardware (RAM?) issue. The problem has persisted since a clean
  re-install of OSX and all other applications.
