  • Any Batch Solution for the DVCPRO HD Frame Rate Converter?

Has anyone come across a better workflow for converting clips using the DVCPRO HD Frame Rate converter which only allows you to process one clip at a time? This is obviously extremely tedious with a lot of clips. I’ve seem a posting elsewhere where someone was going to come up with some sort of a script for this. Any ideas?

With a Kona card you can do this as a batch capture, inside of FCP, as the Kona can read the RP188 flags and remove the frames on ingest into DVCPROHD or even uncompressed.

if your talking about automator style scripting the FRC- final cut does not allow for scripting of that type at this time.

I’d love to hear if anybody’s come up with a work around for batch conversion of DVCPRO HD content.
I’m running FCP 7 with FCS3. I just shot the iditarod 2010 race this morning and i wanna start getting serious about conversion all my 720/60P content. it looks great down at 24p but I hit the plunger on every shot. that’s a lot of tediousness. someone expressed an interest in automator. I guess i’m hoping all i gotta do is use someone’s automator script and be done with this.
is FCP able to do scripting of that type these days?
