Has anyone tried capturing HDV clips via HDMI using the Decklink HD Studio card (and the DVCPRO 100 codec)? Is the result sharper than using component analogue? Is it as good as firewire capture?

Also, do HDV clips captured as DVCPRO 100 via a video card keep their original time code?

Yes, we do this all the time with our Kona 3 systems.
