Uncompressed 8-bit quicktime from windows?
Hi all,
I work in a school where we use FCP to edit our animation footage. So far, we have been saving our clips as quicktime files using the compression – ‘NONE’. I understand that there are other ‘uncompressed’ quicktime settings that can also be used. ‘NONE’ seems to be _huge_ and unnecessary. FCP seems to like the ‘Uncompressed 8-bit 4:2:2’ setting from quicktime. It seems to be about 66% of the NONE compression filesize wise.
However.. I cannot for the life of me find the Uncompressed 8-bit setting when trying to export from windows machines.
Whats the catch?
Thanks,
Steve.
