  Problem with AVI files

  When i make DV AVI file from Final Cut Pro 5 project. It gives a gerki effect. Means a doesnot play smoothely. What is the problem and what is the solution for that?

  this is a known bug when making DV PAL AVI’s … haven’t seen it in with NTSC tho.

  workaround for PAL is to make a DV PAL MOV instead, then take the MOV into MPEG Streamclip and use the File > Export to AVI option

  this one probably passed most people by, but just as an FYI it is reported to be fixed in QT7.3 (and also in Leopard)
