  • Audio sync problems after render…

We’re editing in a DVCpro HD 720P 23.98 timeline. Throughout the edit, all the audio is in sync. When we apply broadcast safe and color correction filters, and render it, the audio goes out of sync. And not in a uniform way, some clips 4 frames, most clips 2 frames, some clips not at all. Also, rendering a name bar (alpha channeled graphic) sometimes produces a sync issue as well. The only solution I have found is to manual go through and slip the audio or video on a clip-by-clip basis.

Is this a Final Cut Pro bug? Is it a codec issue? Is there a missed setting?

We’re using FCP 5.1.2 with Mac OSX 10.4.8.

    Thanks,
    Parke
