• Apple Final Cut Pro Legacy

  opening DVCPRO HD files in QT and FCP. HELP !

  i have 4 DVCPRO HD (720p60) files (originally shot on a Panasonic Varicam) on CD. I copied them to my harddrive, then opened them. However, they only open as a white file in quicktime (7.1.3) and my FCP (4.5)…
  FCP also tells me that there’s some missing hardware…
  i’ve searched the web for additional codecs to download, but couldn’t find anything…
  i always thought QT7 was ablee to play back all dvcpro files…

  anybody have any ideas ? thanks ! ! !

  How were they captured? With what application? Often, footage captured with later version of FCP will not be recognized by MUCH earlier versions, because of minor differences with the codecs.

  Time to upgrade to FCP 5.1 I think. Get it now while the gettings cheap. $200…
