    So, the subject says it all. I’m coming in firewire off the 1200a, and I’ve tried going into FCP settings and don’t see anything for a/v slipping during capture. Any suggestions?

    That is what happens…nature of DVCPRO HD from the Varicam. I slip the audio two frames in the timeline when I cut it in.

    This same issue doesn’t exist with footage shot on P2.

    Check that your playback offset is set to 0.

    I’ve heard others talk about this, but have never seen it here. We’ve delivered almost 50 masters now to the networks and I’ve never slipped audio in my timeline. Audio playback is spot on here.

    It’s only when capturing in 23.98, not 59.94.
