Shot with 720p 24pn – loaded into final cut – no rendering. Shot 720p 24p onto firestore fs-100. If I make the sequence settings to 23.98 framerate, I have to render each clip. Is there a pulldown method that I am missing?

    Final cut 5.04

YOu need to remove the pulldown from the Firestore footage. It doesn’t shoot 24PN, so the clips are 59.94. Remove the pulldown and get your clips to 23.98 and you will be fine.

Thanks Shane – so remove pulldown in capture settings before I import from p2? Trying it right now but it just crashed my fcp.

AS you import. There is that option in the import window.

    Yes it is…FCP 5.1.1 and 5.1.2.

You really gotta get the Crossgrade.

If you don’t have 5.1.2 then load a clip into
Cinema Tools and try reversing the pulldown there.
    (I highly recommend 5.1.2)

Nice call. Thanks. Just sent in for the crossgrade – I’m sick of being behind – hehe. Have a great weekend.
