  Insert Edit on Closed Caption

  Hey there. I need to to do an insert edit on a Dvc pro tape with Closed caption. I’m using final cut pro 5.04 on a Panasonic AJ-sd930 DVCPro deck. 2 questions. Does anyone know if this will wipe out the existing Closed caption on the tape and will it overwrite the audio? I’m using DVCPro50

  It will erase the captioning for the duration of the edit. If you don’t select audio on your insert settings it won’t record on the audio channels.
