  • XDCAM HD: Import from camera?

Posted by Matt Larson on January 12, 2007 at 6:54 pm

Quick question: Can you Import XDCAM HD material directly from the 350 camera using the Sony Transfer software? I’ve done it from a demo deck before, but we are going to be renting the camera and I need to know if I should rent a deck as well.

And an extra 50 points if you know if the 350 has HD-SDI out-

    Thanks-

Bud, you mistaken on the HD-SDI output. Its right on the back plane of the camera, right next to the XLR inputs.

    Matt…

The XDCAM HD 350 camera HAS an HD-SDI output on the back of the camera, next to the XLR connectors. Now, the 330 doesn’t have this option.

If you rent this camera, its a good as a deck for your purposes.

I’ll confirm that! It is the 330 that doesn’t have HD-SDI
