Any input on which would be best for viewing from FCP to Panasonic Studio Monitor with SDI inputs?
I do SD and HD. Like the idea of the external so I can use with Laptop too.

FYI, Decklink has lowered the price of its HD Link.

HD Link takes SDI and converts to DVI or HDMI.
I don’t believe it goes the other way.
I think this guy wants DVI to go to HD SDI.
See my post on your other post about a converter from Gefen.

The Kona 3 is the more professional of cards, I almost bought a Decklink until I read a little more and found that their audio inputs were sub pro. I bought a Kona card several months after using the AJA IO and wished that I had gotten the Kona card from the gitgo. Since then I’ve bought another and am so glad that I did. The KONA 3 will give you UP/Down conversion and accelerates DVCPRO HD among RT Extreme. You won’t be upset getting the Kona 3.

This is a question of which converter. It appears the MXO, Kona LH and the Multibridge. The multibridge is not a card.

I was looking at the Multibridge (external)
    https://www.blackmagic-design.com/products/multibridge/
and comparing it to the Kona or Matrox MXO. External is more flexible.
