  • Downverting DVCPRO HD 23.98 timeline to SD Digital Beta

Posted by Darcyana Moreno izel on December 5, 2006 at 2:07 am

I have edited a Music Video shot on DVCPRO HD 720p24. My timeline in FCP is 23.98. I will need to output this to SD digital Beta to be broadcasted on TV.

I do not have a HD capture card. I’m editing with a G5 Quad.

If I output as QuickTime with the current sequence setting. Would I be able to take somewhere to downvert it for me?

I was told that the biggest issue is with timeline timecode. DVCPRO HD 23.98 only offers a non-drop timeline, and the delivery master will need to be drop frame. So. How this will work when outputting?

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Darcy

You should definitely be able to take it somewhere to down-convert if you give someone a file and they have FCP and proper hardware.
