  FCP can’t see BR-HD50?

  Using FCP in HD mode 720p24. Device control is on but I am unable to control the JCC BR-HD50 deck I just bought. FCP sees that it is connected becaus eit no longer gives me the “can’t find external device window” upon startup…..but the VTR transport won’t work via key commands nor will the image display on the playback monitor. FCP does not see an output device. In video settings the only option is desktop playback. So I’m a bit confused. I have swapped Fire Wire cables, I believe all my settings on the deck are correct. ANYONE HELP?

  can you try HDV-30?

  can you try rs-422 control and analog out?

  I’m using my just arrived BR-HD50 but I’m capturing analog component with rs-422 control
