I need to convert a ripped DVD file to an AVI file for a client’s intranet site. Using MPEG Streamclip, I can import the VOB from a Mac the Ripper file. The streamclip preview plays the video and audio fine. However when I export this file from MPEG Streamclip to AVI, only the video shows up in the AVI file, no audio. What am I doing wrong? Is there a certain audio type I should be using out of Mpeg streamclip? Thanks.

    Hey,
Why not try to convert the VOB file directly
from the DVD. MPEG can do that.

My point is the audio is not showing up when exporting to AVI from Mpeg Streamclip. It doesn’t matter where get the VOB from.

    Any thoughts?

AVI should work with IMA 4:1, MP3, or None (uncompressed PCM audio). Most windows machines will have those audio codecs.

That was what I was looking for. That worked fine!
