  • Incorporating Logos into credit scrolls

I figured out how to get the credit roll to play all the way through. Now, how do I add small logos that scroll along with the text? I can import the logo graphic easily enough, but I can’t seem to get it to intergrate with the text. Still using LiveType – however, I may now also try the Boris text generator as well.

I just did this last week. I built the credit roll first, obviously. I left a space for the small rectangular logo. I had to place the logo into the roll and key frame the motion to follow the text at the same speed. It took a few tries to match the scroll rate exactly, but when it matched it looked perfect.

I’m sure that if you have a page or so of logos you could make them a single page and insert them into your roll.

The way I did it was not an exact science, but it’s not hard. It just takes some tweaking.

Thanks for your input! I’ll give that a try. In the meantime I switched to the Boris Plug-in and it works much faster and looks fine. However, no logos! (Yet anyway!)

    yeah,
I used the FCP scroll. Why introduce more variables?

    Hello,

This is how I do my credits.
I type the texte into Word. Like this, I can underline, but color where I want, space the line, the characters like I want, work like I want on the texte.
I put my texte in white (grey 20%) if I need to have it white in a
I print and choose the option to save it as a PDF.
I open this PDF in Photoshop, if my credits are 4 pages long, I will open 4 pages in Photoshop.
In Photoshop, I copy paste all the pages in the first one, I can add logo, everything I want.
I save, and make a copy at 90 dpi. I import this PSD file in FCP and animate it.

After the texte is typed in Word, it take may be 15 minutes to do everything and have the credits working in FCP.

    Regards,
    Martial
