I recently used MacTheRipper to rip a dvd of something I acted in. I am trying to now import the footage into FCP so that I can edit it and add it to my demo reel. Right now I’ve just been going to FCP _ import _ and then trying to import the video_TS file. FCP gives me an error when I do this. Do I need to somehow convert it to a quick time file first? I have no idea how to proceed from here.

    Thanks.

Yes. Use the free utility MPEG Streamclip.
