I would like to know what the fx builder is for and how to use it. Is it for creating your own special effects?

yes, it is, but you probably want to be looking towards FXPlug
these days so you can use the power of the graphics card opposed
to the CPU.Believe me, things run fast with FXPlug. 🙂

wow that site is written by code junkies for code junkies – is there anyway you can help us by explaining a few of the simplest effects? I’d ideally like to create a time displacement effect as good as AE in FCP… Would that be possible?
