  • Drag in/out to alter speed of clips?

Is there a way to hold a button down while dragging the in or out point of a clip in the timeline so that instead of altering the duration of the clip, you are instead adjusting the speed of the clip dynamically as if you were doing a fit to fill? That would be such a great feature.

I think the closest to this would be:

Select the clip in the timeline. With the location marker on the clip, select Mark clip (x).

Then select match frame to pull up the original clip (for this timeline clipp) in the viewer (f) with in out markers.

Then in the viewer, drag the in or out markers to make it shorter or longer as desired.

Then drag from the viewer to the canvas to Fit to Fill back to the marked clip space in the timeline.

So you’ve “kind of” dragged the edge of the clip to change it’s speed.
