  • How to find source clip from sub-clip?

Posted by Ignatius Gorin on September 15, 2006 at 4:41 am

Hi, I’m in the process of selecting clips out of 30 hours of rushes for a doc.

I use Cmnd-U and sort “sub-clips” into separate folders.

I’m looking for a way so in the future I can find back what source clip the sub-clip was originally taken out of, say if I need to change my in or out points later.

    TIA!

if you need to change in/outs,

select the clip, go to modify menu / remove subclip limits.

it’ll retain the name of the sub.

    OR

option apple f will pull up the source FILE,
and you can start all over.

as to how you can find the original source CLIP,
i have to admit i dont know.

    cheers,
    nick
