    hey y’all

I have a show thats been digitized and edited at dvcpro50, but i have 2 scenes that the director must have been napping cuz we can see the c stands in the shot

Luckily he shot it all at HDV and i can recapture at hdv or aja 1080 and blow it up.

I am still not real clear on the whole master clip/subclip thing, but isnt there a way to take these clips out of timeline, and make them stand alone so they dont refer to the original media? then i can capture just those clips with a30 frames of handle? I have tried this a couple of times, but fcp keeps recapturing the whole file, of which the specific shots are only a small portion

now i know i could just manually capture the stuff at hdv and eyematch it in, but i thought FCP was more sophisticated than this

so all i want to recap is the 2 shots used in the show, wahts the fastest way to do this?

    TIA

Put thost 2 shots in their own timeline and media manage them and set them up for your new capture settings.
