  • Error when I output HDCAM project to deck using Kona 2

Posted by Steven Escobar on September 9, 2006 at 3:37 pm

I’m trying to output a feature from FCP5 with Kona 2 card @ 23.98 8 bit to a HDCAM F500 but when I go to Edit to Tape it gives me a Incompatible compression settings error. It also says the following: “You may have attempted to output a clip with compression settings that do not match the current output settings. Try nesting the clip in a sequence the correct settings.”

I’ve tried that and even looked in the audio/video settings in FCP and tried to change the name but no good. Anyone have this problem? Anyone have a solution? HELP I need to output with TC matching the sequence for a festival and I only have the deck this weekend.

    Thanks
    Steve

What are the sequence settings you’ve used?

Did you black the tape properly?

Did you drag the sequence from the browser into the Edit to Tape window?

Thanks guys…. I knew it was some simple step I was doing wrong. I just needed to drag the sequence to the edit to tape.
